Road To Le Mans : an action-packed endurance race full of twists and turns for the team

This week marked the team’s second participation in Road To Le Mans, held on the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe, home of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 2026 edition introduced a new format with a single three-hour race, requiring teams to adapt their strategies and integrate new parameters, particularly fuel management and driver changes.

The weekend began with a particularly symbolic moment with the unveiling of a special livery dedicated to Olivier Panis, celebrating the 30th anniversary of his historic victory at the 1996 Monaco Grand Prix. To mark the occasion, the team revealed a livery inspired by the Ligier with which the French driver achieved his memorable success. The initiative generated great enthusiasm among fans and paddock members.

The serious action then began with the free practice sessions. Driving the #29 car, Roee Meyuhas and Luciano Morano, as well as Sebastian Bach and Lucas Fecury in the #92, were able to discover the specific challenges of the Sarthe circuit. However, several red flag interruptions significantly reduced the available track time, making preparation more difficult.

Qualifying took place under equally challenging conditions. The multiple slow zones deployed around the circuit disrupted the drivers’ attempts to set competitive lap times and made it difficult to extract the full potential of the cars. Despite these circumstances, Roee Meyuhas secured fifth place on the grid, while Sebastian Bach qualified ninth.

The race quickly became challenging for the #29 car. Involved in a collision during the opening laps, the car suffered damage requiring an emergency pit stop. This intervention dropped the crew two laps behind the leaders. Despite maintaining a strong pace throughout the race, a second contact caused by a GT3 car on the final lap ended all hopes of a strong result, bringing Roee Meyuhas and Luciano Morano’s ambitions to an end.

Meanwhile, the #92 delivered a strong performance in an extremely demanding race. Thanks to a consistent pace and effective management of the many incidents throughout the event, Sebastian Bach and Lucas Fecury successfully avoided the pitfalls of a race marked by numerous retirements. More than just a battle of performance, this round became a true test of endurance and race management. The crew eventually crossed the finish line in seventh place.

Under these circumstances, the objective was to secure valuable championship points. Both cars remain inside the Top 10 of the overall standings, an important result heading into the second half of the season.

The team now looks ahead to the next round, taking place in August at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, with the ambition of continuing its progress in the championship.
